INTRODUCTION Welcome to what we hope will prove a very useful and informative guide to maximising the security of your premises, personnel, equipment and assets.


As someone who either owns, rents or works in business premises in the City of London, you will be acutely aware of the advantages of a Square Mile location - and that it carries certain risks as well. While the constant threat of terrorist attack is uppermost in everyone’s minds – particularly with the 2012 Olympic Games in London on the horizon – this is also an opportune time to remind ourselves of the many different security challenges that face City-based organisations on a daily basis, and to offer sound, practical guidance on how to meet them.
