Findhorn Flower Essence Spring 2014 Newsletter
Like the outstretched branch of the heavenly turquoise tree, Your supple right hand makes the boon- granting gesture, Inviting the wise to a feast of supreme accomplishments, As if to an entertainment - homage to you! Your left hand gives us refuge, showing the Three Jewels; It says, "You people who see a hundred dangers, Don't be frightened-I shall swiftly save you!" - homage to you! Both hands signal with blue utpala flowers, "Samsaric beings! Cling not to worldly pleasures. Enter the great city of liberation!" Flower-gods prodding us to effort - homage to you!
The adventure continues. Tomorrow Tai Situpa Rinpoche will begin a second round of teachings. During the previous set, on the day of making lotus lily he instructed us in the Four Noble Truths.
Abundant blessings! With warmest wishes (from a VERY warm Bodghaya) and love Marion
DETOXING ON MANY LEVELS
Whether there is still snow on the ground or it’s a warm sunny day, spring is a time of renewal. One way to celebrate and connect with this, is to do some spring cleaning in your home. Pick a room that you feel needs some care and attention.
Does it serve its purpose? For example, do you enjoy cooking in your kitchen? Can you feel relaxed in your living room? Do you sleep well in your bedroom?
If the answer is no to any of these questions, that suggests some changes are needed. Start with de-cluttering.
• Try to be objective and clear about whether the objects in a room are really needed. Are they beautiful to look at, do they uplift you? Do they have a practical application?
• Separate items into 3 piles: one to keep, one to recycle, and one to throw away, • Follow through with action.
If you find it hard to let go of things that really no longer serve you, try taking Silverweed. This beautiful little flower helps us to keep things simple.
