So how would a 25,920-year cycle affect the Earth? If you compare it to a Pluto transit that lasts two years, then it has to last significantly longer and be far more powerful. 36 years has been suggested and seems plausible.


So why did the Mayans choose the Winter Solstice on 21st December, 2012 as the Long Count end date? For this we have to refer to their beliefs. Their elaborate celebration was both a mystery play and an actual competition held in an arena known as the Ball Court. It was a symbolic portrayal of what they believed would happen in 2012. The two teams competing were the Light team (the Lords of Light - representing individual awareness and personal power) and the Dark team (the Lords of Darkness - representing excessive and unfair control such as by corporations and governments).


They believed the Earth and her solar system started the cycle at the powerful light of the Galactic Centre (the Gates of Heaven). At this time Earth’s inhabitants were fully enlightened. As the cycle drew away from the Light and towards the opposite point, enlightenment gradually waned and reached its lowest point. 2012 is at the darkest part of the cycle.


The Mayans chose the Winter Solstice because this is the darkest day in our year. It is a symbolic day only. The 21st December, 2012 is also an opportunity that Spirit has benefited from as it has taken our attention off the usual daily concerns and onto the ongoing shift in consciousness.


A 12-year Jupiter cycle brings an individual personal opportunity. During this 36-year period, which ends around 2030 the opportunity to evolve is available to everyone. The battle which the Mayans enacted between the Light and the Dark has already been won and Earth is now ascending through a new location in the solar system into the 4th dimension, and will fairly soon move to even higher frequencies. As more light from the Galactic Centre is directed at Earth the polarity between the Dark and the Light will increase, causing a greater division.


As we now turn the corner in 2013 and start the gradual ascent back to the start of the cycle - towards re-enlightenment, one thing is certain, Earth will never be the same again. We are now operating under the new rules of the higher frequencies. We have the opportunity to become whole, to live on Earth fully connected to our higher self, and to work as equals with higher beings. We are leaving the playground to become fully mature members of the multi-verse. The stakes and the rewards are high.


On the 21st December, 2012 many people will look around and see nothing and will conclude as they did at the millennium, that it was all a lot of hot air. 2012 is a massive shift in our internal consciousness, a rapid awakening which is not visible from the outside. But many Lightworkers know that they feel different, they have felt the shift in energy already.


The Mayans referred to 2012 as the end of time. Maybe they knew that it was the end of time as we know it. As the inner rotation of the Earth speeds up the climate gets warmer, and time also accelerates. And as the magnetic shield weakens the veil becomes thinner and spirit beings are able to communicate their love, help and guidance more clearly.


My feeling is that life will become even faster with new technological advancements, scientific revelations, medical discoveries, new subtle healing modalities, social and cultural improvements, movements towards freedom. And more prevalence of acts of compassion.


There will become an increasing split between those who are operating in the 4th dimension and those who prefer the slower pace of the old 3rd-dimensional Earth. There is no judgment about this just a parting of the ways.


2013 and onwards is time to become more self-aware. To do more work on your personal growth in order to shed your limitations so that you can hold more light. If necessary, find a teacher who resonates with you and can help you learn to use the new tools to re-unite you with your higher self so you can freely co-create your life with your own power and Light regardless of what those in ‘power’ expect from you.


We have passed the darkest point in the cycle and now the only way is up, back to the Light.


I am not recommending any specific essences this month as I feel that during 2013, as you feel motivated to let go of any parts of your life or personality that are holding you back, you will choose essences that suit you in the moment.
