Nebraska SuperTech 2016 Mike Paitz of Truck Center Companies wins top award again, goes to Nationals

is the 2016 Nebraska SuperTech Champion. Sponsored by the Nebraska Trucking Association, Nebraska SuperTech is Nebraska’s premier skills competition for heavy-duty diesel truck technicians. More than 100 competitors registered to


take the qualifying online, ASE-style test. Te top 16 from the online test advanced to the hands-on skill stations final round hosted by Central Community College in Hastings, NE on July 20. As the Nebraska 2016 SuperTech winner,


Paitz will receive transportation and lodging to represent Nebraska at the National SuperTech competition September 18 – 22 in


Raleigh, NC. Te competition is hosted by the American Trucking Associations’ Technology and Maintenance Council. Te runner-up was Tim Blake with Truck Center Companies and third place was James Cantrell of Truck Center Companies. All three are from the Omaha, NE location. Additional winners won cash prizes including station winners. A student competition is also held with


students from four of Nebraska’s Community Colleges. Ian Folkers from Northeast Community College in Norfolk earned the top student prize, winning a tool voucher. Many thanks to our committee, volunteers,
