The West Winnipeg business community and marketplace is an exciting and vibrant region to live, work, learn and play. We are not only celebrating our 86th year as the voice of this business community but we are the catchment area for some of the capital region’s most significant catalyst and strategic investments for our province’s economic growth. These include:
1) Our aviation gateway - Winnipeg Airport Authority and its airport campus and world class passenger terminal;
2) CentrePort and its inland port development including a Rail Park; 3) The IKEA power corner and new developments at Seasons of Tuxedo and its outlet mall concept to open in 2017;
4) The Assiniboia Downs and the Red River Exhibition sites offering entertainment and exciting plans for the future;
5) The re-development of the main retail centre of Manitoba at Polo Park; 6) An abundance of hotels, shops and restaurants too numerous to mention; and 7) Perhaps the most challenging and exciting opportunity to define our city and region - a significant First Nations driven development on Kapyong lands!
With this starring line-up, what business would not want to be positioned or be involved in this West Winnipeg District? I can assure you, a membership in the Chamber connects you to great benefits, networking opportunities, a voice that resonates with civic, provincial and national government and issues.
