Adrian - FFE Manager My name is Adrian and I am the manager at FFE.
I am originally from South Africa and grew up in a small town called Somerset West in the Western Cape. I wanted to be a lawyer for much of my early years and so when I left school, I studied law. While I was studying I used my spare time to dabble on the stock market and liked it so much that
I gave up my law degree and studied business. I worked for a time as an investment analyst at a fund manager in Cape Town. As my parents were British, I acquired British citizenship and in 2001 decided to come to
London to work in banking. As the years went by, I worked as a volunteer on weekends and found that this gave me far more satisfaction than writing reports for senior management.
The bank job was stressful and in 2005 I came up to Findhorn to take part in experience week. The week made me realise that there were much more important things to do in life and that material possessions were not the route to happiness. During the week at Findhorn, I met my partner Tim and decided
there and then that I was going to give up my career and come and live in the Findhorn Foundation. I took part in a number of courses but realized that community life did not suit me.
One day while reading the Rainbow Bridge I saw that there was an opening at FFE and the rest is history.
