DISCOVER MORE ON SHORE
PRE AND POST CRUISE LAND ADVENTURES
• Join a member of our Expedition Team as you travel to legendary Kathmandu. Rich in history and culture, it’s the ideal launching point for your journey on the trail of the elusive Bengal Tiger. Explore the jungle first from the back of an elephant. Further exploration is done in the company of a local naturalist (six nights).
• Immerse yourself in the great natural wilderness of Hokkaido. Trek in Kushiro Marshland National Park. Two thousand spectacular varieties of animals and plants thrive here in Japan’s largest marshland, which supports the only population of endangered Japanese Cranes in Japan (three nights).
• Wing your way over the Himalayas to Bhutan where centuries of architecture, culture and religion await. Visit the capital city of Thimphu and enjoy a private lecture by a Buddhist scholar to introduce you to the essential tenets of Buddhism. Climb the side of a cliff 3000 meters above sea level to gain access to the monastery known as the ‘Tiger’s Nest’ (four nights).
