Custom-designed pontoons F
loating berths are needed where large water fluctuations make access to boats a difficult task. Florida-based Ravens Marine
understands that solutions must be custom-designed for each client and its pontoons are manufactured to suit individual specifications. Alternatively, the company can design a system to satisfy the berthing requirements of a specific site. The internal structure of the
pontoons is made from aluminium and they can be supplied with
a variety of decking, including traditional wood. Dockside walkways are usually
8-10 ft wide; main walkways are designed to be 6-8 feet wide with 5 ft being the minimum; and finger piers will normally be 3-4 ft wide. Strong, versatile Mariner gangways
constructed in low-maintenance aluminium are also available from the company. Ravens Marine Inc

Environmental barge
The ECOTANK barge is considered to be a unique solution for all environmental operations to be performed in marinas, as well as other places where boats are moored. Used by the manufacturer
itself in heavy-duty conditions at ports all year round, its barges are a reliable and effective solution to environmental problems. They enable easy and
efficient recovery of liquid (bilge water, engine oil and coolants)
and solid waste from boats. ECOTANK barges also allow immediate effective action in case of accidental pollution or fire. The multi-purpose barges offer mobility, low maintenance requirements, minimal odour and noise pollution, and have an ergonomic and elegant design supported by a maintenance contract if required. They feature a peristaltic pump and provide a retention capacity 3,600 litres. Options include a solid waste basket, decontamination kit, 6 kW power generator, fire-fighting module, fuel filtration and steam cleaning. Constructed from 0,8 mm
aluminium, the hull comes with a 15-year warranty. EcoTank Worldwide contact@ecotank-worldwide. com

Range of mooring buoys
Following on from the design of Balizamar navigation buoys, Almarin has launched its new range of mooring buoys. These are used for mooring of vessels, as well as for supporting containment booms and floating cages used in aquaculture. These mooring buoys are
manufactured with a galvanised steel structure and a foam-filled, roto-moulded polyethylene
Temporary structures
Manufactured by Shipyard Solution of Hong Kong, the SHELTER series of temporary structures for use in boatyards are made with frames in S355JR steel that have a hot galvanised finish and are coated with fire-retardant PVC.
It is possible to employ different kinds of tubing to support various
sizes of shelter. The main profiles are 42 x 42 x 2.0 mm, 50 x 50 x 2.5 mm, 60 x 60 x 3.0 mm and 80 x 80 x 4.0 mm or larger. The PVC weighs 950 gr/sq m and each PVC section will cover a complete bay from one side to the other, including the roof. These shelters can be
assembled on concrete industrial
flooring using steel plates with four expansion screws to achieve a span width of up to 35 metres and a height of up to 18 metres. There are no limits to the length
of any shelter as the system is modular in construction. Shipyard Solution Ltd
