The shade lovers are happy too.
can’t be beat, especially when they’re topped off with fresh garden basil and a slice of bocconcini, salt and balsamic. The side of the house is filled with
a healthy assortment of hostas, gerani- ums and ferns that thrive in the shade. Mariella’s pride is her forsythia that welcomes people into her home as they walk up the driveway. Since the day Mariella, Rick and
family moved in they have been work- ing on the yard and it has been rein- vented time and again. Over the years the children have all lent a hand in the gardens, as seen in their hand prints permanently on record in the paving stones leading to the back yard. Even the animals took part. Each child has grown and matured, but they all look back on the days spent in the garden fondly. As their nest empties, Mari- ella and Rick's gardens have evolved into a sanctuary filled with love. Here, they can sit and enjoy fond memories on quiet mornings and create new one with every new event they host. h
This linden tree has grown exponentially over the years.
A beautiful blend of textures.
