without Robert Coleman

I
n a shocking email that was sent 48 hours before April Fool’s Day, Cheryl Logan, the School District’s Chief Academic Support Of- fi cer, said that Robert Cole- man, School District Athletic Director and two of his as- sistants had been relieved of their duties.
This major shake-up sent shock waves around the City and everywhere. Cheryl Logan sent out her email, during the early hours of March 30, to all the high school athletic direc- tors in the Public League. She wanted to make sure the athletics directors knew “The following individuals will no longer conduct busi- ness on behalf of the Offi ce of Athletics for the School District of Philadelphia.” Along with Robert Cole-
man, Angela White, the ath- letic department’s Program Coordinator and Starr Dav- enport, the athletic depart- ment’s Director of Finance, were also dismissed from their jobs. This major shake- up has created a dark cloud continued on page 9
