Police maers During the last two months, there had been one theft of a vehicle, a dangerous dog incident, two of criminal damage and one assault. The parish council was pleased to hear PCSO Frank Woolle was back on duty and looked forward to seeing him soon. Pavilion Local builder Gavin Lawrence had fixed the cladding panel that had been knocked loose. Members would continue to monitor the cladding on a regular basis. Kickboards to deter people from kicking balls against the building would be investigated. Parish hallAquote for patch-pointing from County Craftsmanwas accepted. Playground Members discussed the playground inspection report. Gavin Lawrence would be asked to look at the remedial work thatwas needed including the self-close latch on the gate and the damaged post. Cllr Andrew Doe offered to trim the height of the trees free of charge. Remembrance Arrangements for Remembrance Sundaywere discussed. It was agreed to have 250 service sheets printed. The parish council would donate £25 to St Margaret’s Church and £50 to the Royal British Legion for the wreath. Itwas agreed to continue with the rental agreement of £170 for the road closure equipment and for Mr Gooch to continue to store it throughout the year. was stolen from the back garden of a home in Greenway. A vehiclewas broken into in Upper Fant Road, Fant and itemswere stolen.


Bull pub. All complaints would be dealt with by Maidstone Council environmental health team and Cllr Gooch would be meeting with the enforcement officer. Meanwhile Cllr Gooch would email The Redstart. Highway complaints had been dealt with as follows: overgrown vegetation on the corner of Northfields and Beverley Road had been cleared; the wooden bridge on the riverside footpath at Farleigh Bridge had been repaired; Apple Tree Close potholes had been reported and the road would be re-surfaced in April 2016; traffic lights at the level crossing at Farleigh Bridge were causing confusion to motorists.Kent Highway Services and Network Rail would be meeting to discuss this. Cherries Maidstone Council licensing had visited the person selling cherries at Barnjet lay-by to advise him that he could not trade without a licence. He had then gained permission from the owner of the catering van there to operate under her licence, which Maidstone Council had advisedwas in order. Gate The gate operative had handed in his notice. The clerk would write to thank him for the last seven years of service for the parish council.Anearby resident had offered to take over the gate duties. Cupboard One of the hirers of the hall had complained that some of the exercise equipment stored in the cupboard had fallen on one of their members. Planning The neighbourhood planning group would be working closely with Feria to get the wheels turning again. Fete The eventwaswell aended and successful with a full complement of stallholders. Thankswent to members who helped on the day and other volunteers. The dog show aracted 50 to 60 entries. Gate Following a meeting with KCC Cllr Eric Hotson, an application form has been signed for £1,000 from the member’s grant scheme for reinstatement of the historic gate to the King George V playing field. AllotmentsAquote from Isle Landscapers had been accepted by the McAlpine Trust to carry out the required work to the allotment wall. Therewas no imminent danger.
