HMT opens a London office
HMT LLP has announced the official opening of its London office, located near Bank station
As leading advisers to entrepreneurial businesses in the south, HMT has been advising businesses in the Thames Valley and the London area for over 20 years. Opening an office in the capital city will increase HMT’s presence in the London market and assist in continuing to attract both quality clients and people.
The past few years have been prolific for HMT. The corporate finance team has completed 37 deals since January 2014 worth several hundred million, advising on significant deals both in the Thames Valley and London. HMT’s audit, tax and advisory practice continues to go from strength to strength, providing audit, tax and outsourcing services to a quality client base of ambitious entrepreneurial businesses.
The past 12 months has seen impressive growth with the team in the newly refurbished and expanded Henley-on-Thames office more than doubling in size. The appointment of Paul Read as a transaction support partner earlier this year, and attracting Chris Gow as a partner to build a debt advisory offering, is further testament to the success and reputation of HMT in the south of England.

The debt market has developed at a tremendous rate in recent years both in terms of the number of debt providers and the complexity of the products now available both for on-going working capital and for transaction funding. It is against this background, and the demands from our sophisticated client base, that we have appointed Chris Gow as partner and added debt advisory to our specialist skills.
Gow, Read and their respective teams will operate from the London office at Becket House, Old Jewry, London EC2R 8DD.
Andrew Thomson, founding partner, commented: “We are delighted at our continued progress and the milestone of opening a London office reflects our ambition to further strengthen our position as a leading independent advisory and accounting practice across the south.
Gow commented: “I am delighted to join HMT at such an exciting time for the firm and, together with Paul, to be spearheading the opening of the London office. I am looking forward to welcome existing and new clients into our new office in the coming weeks.”
