*** MELNA has applied for a grant for federal funds administered by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry. If awarded, the grant funds will be used to help fund our new “Plant Something!” program. Tis will be a marketing program designed to educate the consuming public of the economic, environmental and health benefits of planting. Tis will help drive consumers to purchase MELNA members’ products and services.


*** Your membership renewal forms were mailed in June and you should have received them by now. If you haven’t, please contact the MELNA Office. Te MELNA membership year runs from July 1 – June 30. Membership renewals are good through June 30, 2016 and should be submitted by July 31, 2015.


*** MELNA Summer Twilight Meeting is August 5. MELNA Charity Golf Tournament is August 18. Articles on both appear later in this newsletter.
