Lots 481-492 are from a Private Collection of work by William Edward Trevithick. William Trevithick served in World War I, then went on to open his own publicity company in the 1930s, working as a commercial artist. He produced artwork for Rolls-Royce and C.C. Wakefield and Co Ltd., makers of Castrol motor oil. He often had his work featured on the cover of Flight Magazine and other, similar publications. He was a keen aviator, held a pilot’s licence, and was a member of the Royal Aero Club and the Norwich Flying Club.
