South Coast and Thames Valley accountants James Cowper has rebranded as James Cowper Kreston, adopting the Kreston global accountancy network name.

The rebrand, which took effect in February, is part of the firm‘s commitment to and demonstration of its international capabilities.

As well as Southampton, James Cowper has offices in Reading, Newbury, Oxford, Henley, Harwell and London. The firm is one of the primary UK accountancy firms on the Kreston global network that comprises 186 independent accountancy firms in 104 countries.

James Cowper managing partner Robert Holland commented: “The Kreston network is important to our firm and those clients with interests overseas. It ensures that our clients receive the same high level of service overseas as they would from our own offices. This rebrand is a solid demonstration of our international capabilities.

“We remain, however, completely committed to our markets here, and those clients with interests at home will continue to receive the same strong and professional support they always have.“

Jon Lisby, Kreston‘s chief executive officer, said: “This is a significant step-change to our profile in the UK. Entrepreneurial businesses in the SME and mid-market sectors increasingly need to access trusted international compliance and advisory services, and Kreston members worldwide are accustomed to working closely to provide quality, creative and seamless solutions. So, I am delighted that James Cowper is one of the first of our UK firms to join the increasing number of members who are choosing to adopt the global brand.“

Just Develop It backs ReClickd

Coffin Mew Solicitors has advised Hampshire-based investment business Just Develop It on its significant investment in yet another local start-up – ReClickd.

ReClickd is a social media management and incentives platform, which provides powerful tools for companies to collaborate and publish across multiple social networks to measure their social marketing performance. Its tools allow users to track campaigns from engagement to conversion.

The Just Develop It investment will provide both resources and infrastructure to allow the team at ReClickd to establish itself with space to create, develop and grow.

Just Develop It CEO Chris Phillips said: “This opportunity actually came from a couple of our own team here at Just Develop It. It was a great idea and they had put a lot of thought into the platform to make it as integrated and

comprehensive as possible, so I was very happy to help them set up on their own and invest in ReClickd.“

Owen Smith, co-founder of ReClickd, added: “ReClickd started out as a simple idea to allow businesses to generate leads and increase sales from social media, while making it easier to manage multiple campaigns from one place. We spoke to Chris about our idea and he encouraged us to work on a business plan and get something designed. Things have moved really fast, and we were thrilled when Chris said he would invest in ReClickd and help us get off the ground.“

Just Develop It was advised by Jamie Earley, corporate solicitor at Coffin Mew. Earley said: “It‘s great to see Just Develop It make another investment, and in another local start-up. In the past 18 months, we have helped them with their investments in Jessie and James, Gradlancer, Skylark Golf and Country Club and the Dancor Group.“
