other busy winter ahead of them. They just launched a Holland 32 fi n- ished out as a lobster boat for a fi sherman from Wiscasset. She is powered with a 305 Cummins diesel engine.


This is one of the newest Landing School 18s under construction this winter. fi nishing her off at this point.


There are two other 32s in the shop


being fi nished out. One is a kit boat going to Brunswick. She is powered with a 380 hp Cummins diesel. The other is being fi nished out as a pleasure boat for a customer from Massachusetts.


Also in the shop is a 41, which is being


fi nished off as a lobster boat for a customer from Swan’s Island. She is going to be partially fi nished and then shipped to her owner who will complete the interior. She is powered with a 425 hp Cummins diesel. Outside is the hull for another 41. She is going to go to Billing’s Diesel and Marine in Stonington to have her engine and gear installed, however it’s not known who is


Also on order is a 38 foot kit boat, which will be powered with a John Deere diesel for a customer from Bar Harbor. They also have another 38 kit boat to do as well as a 32 kit boat and a 32 to be fi nished out as a yacht.


Eric Dow Boatbuilder in Brooklin has three boats being worked on in his shop. In one shop they have a Pete Culler designed Concordia 23 outboard boat in for some repair work. The rails are off and they are making repairs to the deck. They also need to replace the coamings and then do her annual maintenance.


In the other shop is a Biscayne Bay 14 which came up from New Jersey. She came up this summer with a center board issue and Eric built them a new one. She went back to New Jersey for the remainder of the summer and was brought back this fall for

They have a Haven 12½ coming in next and that will be given a complete refurbish- ing. She is also from New Jersey. This will be followed by a complete restoration of a Herreshoff 12½.


Classic Boat in Bernard has been busy this fall getting all their customers hauled out and stored.


The brokerage department has just sold a 37 foot Bunker & Ellis, named JUBILEE. She was built in 1955 and her new owners will be storing her at Islesford for the winter. There are a number of projects for the winter and they include: a Center Harbor 31, which is in to have her deck refi nished

and re-varnished; a Morris Leigh is in to be re-powered; a Morris 42 for systems work; a Morris 36 will have her varnish stripped and redone; a Dyer 29 is in for topside paint; and they store about 18 of their Pisces which all have annual maintenance to be done. As for new construction they have two Pisces sold. One will be going to Stonington and the other on the North Shore of Mas- sachusetts. Each one will be powered with electric drives. They will also be building a third one on spec.
