WHAT’S NEW VAN BEEST GREEN PIN SHACKLES NOW DNV TYPE APPROVED
Recently Van Beest was audited by DNV (Det Norske Veritas). With a positive result; Green Pin® Standard and Green Pin® Polar shackles are now DNV Type Approved to standard for certifi cation 2.22 Lifting Appliances.
This Standard for Certifi cation provides criteria and guidance for certifi cation and verifi cation of the design, materials, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of lifting appliances, mainly intended for cranes and other lifting appliances onboard ships and off shore installations.
The certifi cate S-7925 confi rms compliance of the above mentioned types of shackles with this DNV standard. The approval of design, material and production process makes individual testing unnecessary, so it saves a lot of time and money.
With this latest certifi cate, the recognition of these high quality products is confi rmed once more. For more information please contact:

WHAT’S NEW NEW HYDRAULIC HOISTS ADDED TO JD NEUHAUS RANGE
Hoists incorporating the latest generation of super silent hydraulics have now been added to the J D Neuhaus range of high performance lifting and handling equipment. In both their Profi and EH monorail hoist ranges, units providing 75 and 100 metric ton lift capacities have been added. Where heavy loads are lifted and transported in highly restricted spaces with only minimum headroom, then a JDN ultra-low monorail hydraulic hoist range has been introduced, initially available with 50 and 100 metric ton lift capacities and designated as JDN UH 50-H and JDN UH 100-H.
All these new lifting products can be deployed as viable alterna- tives to air driven equipment in locations where hydraulic lines, control hydraulic systems or hydraulic aggregates form part of an existing power set-up available at a proposed location site.
An already existing Profi range of hydraulic powered hoists covering lift capacities from 3 to 50 metric tons are now completed with the latest units designated as Profi 75 Ti-H and Profi 100 Ti-H. These products feature top hook suspension, but can be operated as rail mounted units providing lateral load movements when incorporated with powered trolley units. The EH range of hydraulic monorail hoists providing lift capacities from 20 to 50 metric tons now also include the new JDN EH 75-H and EH 100-H designated products. With improvements, such as the featured Self-Locking Hook and their other options, which include “USA-made Load Chain” (U-option), and shipyard hooks (S-option), AMH not only guarantees superior variety, but also quality by re-testing all altered hoists in their U.S. service center locations with a re-certifi cation documentation (by serial number). To show the support of US-Made product, all hoists with the “U-option” will also display “USA LOAD CHAIN” and “USA ASSEMBLED & TESTED” stickers. y

WHAT’S NEW ALL MATERIAL HANDLING SELF-LOCKING HOOK OPTION/ACCESSORY
All Material Handling (AMH) is an American based one-stop-shop company for your hoist, rigging hardware, and synthetic sling needs. With hoist capacities ranging from ¼-ton to 30-ton, and warehouse locations in all four corners of the continental U.S. (CA, IA, TX, GA), they are able to cover most every need a customer might have.
AMH sees the trend of increasing demand for self-locking hooks in wire-rope and chain-sling applications. All Material Handling therefore presents its new Self-Locking Hook for MA(Hand Chain)- and LA (Lever Chain)-Series hoist. Self- locking hooks are designed to close by the load being lifted, and opened by a hidden trigger that is protected from snagging by being fl ush to the surface of the hook. They are easily assembled into standard bolted hook blocks, allowing complete hook inspection as per ASME B30 safety code. One of the best features of a self-locking hook is that its latch cannot go missing.
