Swedish symbol of the season, arrives flanked by attendants in a horse-drawn carriage to offer a treat to visitors. Santa Claus lights the Great Tree on the Courthouse lawn and officially opens his Gingerbread House at 6:30. Then, holiday shopping and dining take place, carolers provide music, revelers can enjoy free carriage rides and roasted chestnuts and hot cider are available. Five homes decorated for the holidays will be open for self-guided tours. Tour tickets cost $30.
