Parish clerk Following the selection process, councillors agreed that Nicola Awood be appointed parish clerk, starting on September 1. Asbestos Asbestos had been found in the pavilion roof space and undercro of the pavilion and a detailed report had been sent by Medway Insulations. Itwas felt that the parish council should not be held accountable for the full cost of removal as this should have been included in the refurbishment quote. The chairmanwould discuss this with the consultant. The windows and insulation had been installed. Pavilion refurbishment Cllr Manser reported that the parish council had been considering the external refurbishment for about 15 years but there had been no discussion regarding the internalwork required.An inspectionwould be done two weeks before the end of the project to see if the building needs rewiring. Some residents had offered to join aworking party for the day to clean the pavilion aer internal refurbishmentwas competed. Itwas agreed that thiswas a very good idea. Hall/Pavillion Terms and conditions for hirewould include that the car park barriers be locked aer dark or before 9pm, whichever is sooner: hirerswould be responsible for removing and disposing of any rubbish generated, and the pavilion should be vacated by 10.30pm and the parish hall by 11pm.
