millennials in mind”

Hi Jason, I met you at the Smart Tab Patio Launch

Party and Save the Monarch Butterfly fundraiser. I was going to contact Bren- lee, but lost her contact info. However, I was able to talk to her that night, and I let her know that I really appreciated the heartfelt content of the article you wrote for her newspaper. Though I don’t know you closely, I

wanted to remind you that your senti- ment and vision really speaks to my value system and I’m proud of you for not giving up. You were able to clarify some of the core issues that I also feel frustrated with. It’s sad to walk though large chunks

of the downtown area and feel isolated, disconnected, and melancholy due to a lack of interactive gathering spots. As discussed, accessible, vibrant and

safe locations are all communities need to bond, create and expand. Celebration of diversity is now, and forever should be, at the forefront of all growth. At the heart of it, the goal is to keep it simple (the hardest thing to do), but have unlimited capacity for silliness (the funnest part). I look forward to seeing your name out

there in the cosmos of this prairie land. I believe we all meet for reasons, and I hope the reason for our meeting will be for mutual benefit of work that brings joy. I also hope that you will keep in contact

if you need hands, heart, or support in any variety. I would love to be part of a legacy that benefits the generations to come. Sincerely, Cherise Mitchell

SMART Brief The SMART Tab Patio Party in July

was held to create awareness about the publication as well as to contribute to Pegasus Publications' monarch butterfly conservation efforts. The event drew a full crowd to the

downtown patio at Carbone Coal Fired Pizza and was able to raise $400 to donate to Whyte Ridge Community Centre to plant a butterfly garden. Staff would like to thank everyone who

attended and helped make the event a success, including Carbone Coal Fired Pizza for being a most gracious host, Megan Tymura of Philippe Dandurand Wines for providing a glass of wine to all guests on the house, and Grace Karpinsky of Qualico for donating silent auction prizes.

Our mistake In the last issue, we mentioned that the

Exchange Bartending School was affili- ated with all 10 of Stephen Hua's estab- lishments, including Te Ranch Saloon. Hua is a partner is most of the school's

partner establishments, and in fact, Te Ranch Saloon closed early this year. We regret the error.

Carbone's infamous coal-fired pizza. Young creatives mix and mingle. In our "Now you know" section, we

wrote that St. Norbert Farmers Market operates Wednesdays and Sundays, when in fact the market is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays on the weekend, and closed Sundays. We regret the mistake.
