Chris Stickney in St. George is getting ready to build a 10-foot double ender, similar in looks to a canoe/kayak, which is for use on fresh water. He has lofted the boat and created the moulds and was getting ready to set them up. He is planning on building two of these, but was not sure when they would be done. Hoping that a paying job would

Johanson Boat Works in Rockland has a number of great projects underway. In one bay is a Sabre 36 is having her engine replaced. She had a Westerbeke die- sel and this is being replaced with a Beta 14. They will also do some brightwork and her annual maintenance. A Sabre 40 has had her topsides Awl-


gripped. They also did deck and anchor locker work, rebuilt the windlass, and added new port lights.


In the far bay is a Wesmac 38 that has been under construction for a couple of winters. They are putting on her fi nal interior joiner work, hooking up systems and install
