DISCOVER BC PARKS
Ranger Message Welcome to BC Parks!
Each park in BC Parks’ system provides visitors with a unique experience. From Sea to shining Sky, we’ve got it all!
As a father, I’m more cognisant than ever of the importance of connecting with nature; and our responsibility as a society to preserve our natural world for generations to come. I’ve watched my child explore our parks with youthful vigor; interacting with plants, bugs and mud without the inhibitions that we develop as adults. I’ve learned that slowing down and looking at our world through a different lens opens up a whole new level of immersion in our natural environment.
B.C.’s unique geography allows visitors to our provincial parks to connect with nature in an untold variety of ways. Our parks are as varied as our users. We offer excellent facilities for first time campers and hikers to hardened veterans of the back country and everyone in‐between.
I’d encourage you all to get out and explore our provincial parks this year. Reflect on how important these special places are to each of you, and to our society as a whole. Feel nature, experience solitude, disconnect from the day to day routine of life in our urban centers and embrace the beauty of this planet we live on.
I am proud to be a small part of a large team of folks dedicated to protecting these places and ensuring your experience in our parks is the best it can be, and certainly hope you enjoy your visit to BC Parks.
Play safe and have fun, 2
