1 Wholesale trade industry

People working in this sector enjoyed the biggest salary increase of any industry in Canada last year. To sell “non-technical”

products like oil, tobacco, food and bever- ages, clothing and cars, some employers

may require a college diploma in manage- ment or a field related to the product. Technical sales representatives sell

scientific and industrial products, electri- cal, telecommunications and computer services and usually hold a university degree or college diploma.
