CityEditorial
The days are finally getting longer, and we seem to be enjoying a lull in the relentless rain that has drenched the City. We have used the time to wade through several legal reviews of 2013, and a few previews of legal activity in 2014. The immediate future of City Solicitor is most exciting. We have been hinting at change for some time now, and 2014 is the year in which it will happen. Just like Spring, a new format is just around the corner. Over the past year, your Editorial Board, supported by a working party of committed members of the Company and the Committee, has been working towards a City Solicitor with a brand new and significantly improved look and feel. As the welcoming fanfare is rehearsed, and without wishing to mix too many metaphors, we invite you to watch this space and to assure you that all will be revealed shortly.
In this edition, however, we carry the usual Committee reports, with our usual expression of gratitude to Committee Chairmen
their sterling efforts to record so faithfully the proceedings of their Committees. The aggregate reports of each Committee are a significant record of developments in that field of law. We are indeed privileged to have this resource at our disposal.
This edition is heavy on the celebration of the new Lord Mayor, our own Junior Warden, Alderman

Although Fox strives to have the last word in every edition, this time it’s my turn. As editor of City Solicitor for more years than I can remember, I wish to thank the Court and the Committee most sincerely for their joint support of our progress to the next stage in our development. We have no doubt that you, our readers, will approve.
Until later.
