respondents, they ranged from $8.50 to $24, and everything in between. Many of the higher hourly rates ranged between $16 and $19, while many of the lower-end rates were between $9 and $12. Te hourly pay rates reported for bus aides/monitors — if a school district had them at all — ranged from $7 to $17. We should note that a small number of respondents re-
ported their pay for both drivers and aides/monitors by “per route” or “per day.” Some specified their rates vary depend- ing on a route or based on mileage. In addition to hourly pay rates for bus drivers and aides/
