An Invitation to the 1st Annual


MMEA FALL ELEMENTARY MUSIC WORKSHOP Saturday, September 28, 2013 (9:00 am-5:00 pm) at Hope College in Holland, MI


MMEA would like to invite all elementary general music teachers to the 1st annual MMEA Fall Elementary Music Workshop, featuring Dr. Diane Lange (University of Texas at Arlington) as keynote presenter.


In addition to Dr. Lange’s keynote session on combining Orff and Music Learning Theory and closing session on folk dancing and play parties, the conference also will feature sessions on a variety of topics, including:  iPads and Grant-writing  Working with Young Choirs/Singers


 Composing in the Elementary Classroom  Creating Websites that Promote Student Learning


Lunch will be provided and is included in the registration fee. You may register on-site the day of the workshop for an increased fee; however, pre-registration is appreciated in order to ensure an accurate lunch count. Check-in and on-site registration will begin at 8:30 AM in Graves Hall. State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs) will be offered through the Michigan Department of Education. Additional fees do apply—please see the pricing list at the bottom of this form.
