As a keen cyclist, it was a pleasure to participate in the Parliamentary de- bate on the All-Party Par- liamentary


Cycling


Group’s report “Get Brit- ain Cycling”. The report set a target of 10 per cent of all journeys being by bike by 2025, and 25 per cent by 2050 and called on the UK Government to show strong political lead- ership, including an annual Cycling Action Plan and


sustained funding for cy- cling.


The motion was


passed with majority of over 100. I look forward to working with local cy- cling group Spokes and those who arranged the hugely successful Pedal on Parliament to fulfil the potential of cycling across the country. Click on the play
