Based on the Worcestershire/Warwickshire border, Bright is delighted to sponsor the Worcester News Jobs and Careers Fair for the second consecutive year. Employment has been a hot topic

in recent months and Bright have some fantastic opportunities available this September. Bright can help you retrain to

start a new, rewarding career assessing and training those completing vocational courses such as NVQs, apprenticeships and work-based learning. There is a huge demand for assessors and trainers due to the rise in apprenticeships and workplace training; this is driven by fewer young people applying to university and businesses needing to up-skill their staff to boost growth and development. You can qualify to use your existing skills and experience to help the next generation starting out in your industry. Considering a career change but don’t want to start all over again? Retraining to assess, train and teach is the perfect way to ensure that you remain in demand in the

job market during these tricky times. Bright make learning easy – flexible online training so you can work at your own pace. We provide you with everything

you need to qualify and you can begin as soon as you are ready. Qualifying to assess or train takes just six to 12 weeks. At this month’s event Bright will

be offering those who are currently unemployed a place on our new and improved Bright Back to Work Programme. The Government-funded Bright

Back to Work Programme has successfully trained more than

2,000 unemployed people to assess others since 2011; many of whom have now started fantastic new careers using their existing knowledge. The six-week course has been developed to now also provide learners with the qualifications and employability skills needed to become an active assessor – you will complete the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and the Level 2 Certificate in Employability, as well as actually apply for roles during the course. For the first time Bright will also be looking to meet anyone

interested in an apprenticeship. We have three amazing opportunities available for anyone within the local area that would like to earn while they learn. Bright trained four apprentices in the last 12 months, all of whom have gone on to successfully progress within the business. This is an opportunity not to be missed – if you are aged 16-24 and would like to train within an innovative, fast-moving company we want to hear from you. This month’s Jobs and Careers

Fair is set to be bigger and better than ever before – we can’t wait to meet you all.

JO Spragg, of Stratford-Upon-Avon, had previously worked as a client relationship manager and was responsible for NHS Trusts in London, including Great Ormond Street and Imperial College Hospitals. Unfortunately she was made redundant and was left wondering what to do next. “I approached my local job centre who recommended a career in assessing and introduced me to the Bright Back to Work Programme. As Bright Assessing is a company in my area the course was an ideal choice.” Jo attended the course in August 2012 and has since found a fantastic opportunity as an assessor for Warwickshire College. “The position is on a contractual basis; I have the freedom to choose how many candidates I take on and can negotiate the amount I am paid for each learner,” she said. Jo also took advantage of Bright’s career services site, New Assessor. “There were plenty of tips to help me find work; New Assessor was a great tool for looking for assessing vacancies.” Visit brightassessing.com or call 0845 1545000 today to find out more.
