I hope all of our friends, colleagues, customers and partners are enjoying the summer and you have all enjoyed or are about to take a well-deserved holiday!


As you will read in this issue, Volga- Dnepr Group’s business continues to be as dynamic as ever. In the past couple of months we signed a new aerospace agreement with SDV and Thales Alenia Space, positioned our new generation IL-76TD-90VD at Paris-Vatry Airport to meet strong demand for the aircraft, and furthered our relationship with Boeing by supporting its 787 production.


Special thanks to everyone who accepted our invitation to attend a dinner hosted by Volga-Dnepr during the Paris Air Show. We hope you enjoyed the evening and you spot yourself in the photo gallery published in this issue.


You may also have read in the media that we have launched the tender process with a number of Russian and foreign companies for design activities for the modernisation of our An-124-100


fleet. This is to ensure compliance with prospective ICAO requirements and to further enhance the operating efficiency of the aircraft. The modernisation project will include Research and Development work followed by EASA and/or FAA certification and further modification of Volga-Dnepr’s current An-124 fleet. The initial stage of the project will start in early 2014.


An even more immediate customer benefit is the launch of our new SMS messaging service which enables us to send status updates on the progress of your charter flights on Volga-Dnepr straight to your mobile telephone. This is also supported by email alerts.


This new service will allow us to inform you about the aircraft movement, including the date and flight number, airport information and estimated time of departure and arrival. SMS messaging


also enables us to provide you with important updates on your cargo movement irrespective of the time of day, at weekends or over holiday periods when you’re away from the office or in situations where you may have limited internet access.
