TEMPLETON, DALMELINGTON, the 12” enamel dial with Roman numerals and two subsidiary dials, the twin train four pillar movement striking on a bell, the arch decorated with ‘Tam O’Shanter’, the spandrels with ‘A. Ramsay’, ‘Ferguson’, ‘Rt. Burns’ and ‘Sir W. Scott’, the hood with scroll broken pediment supported by tapered and turned columns, the trunk with cockbeaded door, on a rectangular base with slight bracket feet, winding key, pendulum and weights present, overall 211cm high. £400-600
6. A 19th century oak longcase clock, W. Durham, Dunbar, the 13” enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals and two subsidiary dials, the twin train four pillar movement striking on a bell, no longer present, the spandrels decorated with girl vignettes emblematic of the seasons, the arch decorated with a boy fishing, the hood with broken scroll pediment and three ball finials above blind sound fret, supported by fluted columns, the trunk with arched door flanked by reeded quarter columns, the rectangular base raised on bracket feet, pendulum, weights and key present, overall 221cm high. £300-500

A 19th century mahogany and boxwood lined longcase clock, emblematic of the seasons and mining, the 14” enamel dial bearing Roman and Arabic numerals, with two subsidiary dials, twin train movement striking on a bell, the spandrels decorated with vignettes of the seasons, the arch decorated with a coal mining scene, the hood with scroll pediment supported by reeded columns, the trunk with cockbeaded door and shield shaped escutcheon, on a rectangular base raised on bracket feet, pendulum, weights and key present, overall height 216.5cm high. £300-500

An 18th/19th century oak longcase clock, John Thomson, Edinburgh, the 12½” brass dial bearing a silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the twin train four pillar movement striking on a bell, the hood with scroll pediment supported by tapered fluted columns, the shaped trunk door flanked by fluted quarter columns, on a rectangular and plinth base, pendulum, weights and key present, overall 215cm high. £400-600
