A George III mahogany longcase clock, John Harvey, Weymouth, the 12” silvered dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the twin train four pillar movement striking on a bell, the dial decorated with floral garlands and Ho-Ho bird clutching banner inscribed ‘TEMPUS FUGIT’, the hood with caddy top and reeded three quarter columns, the trunk with an arched panel door and applied moulded edge on a rectangular base and short plinth, pendulum, weights and key present, overall height 227.5cm high. £400-600


2. A late 18th/early 19th century oak longcase clock, Wilkinson, Penrith, the 11¼” square brass dial with brass chapter ring bearing Roman and Arabic numerals, with crescent shaped date aperture and pierced brass spandrels, the four pillar 30 hour movement with court plate striking on a bell, the hood with moulded cornice supported by cylindrical columns, the trunk with a mahogany frieze and shaped panel door, flanked by quarter columns, on a rectangular base raised on bracket feet, pendulum and weight present, overall 198.5cm high. £400-600

An 18th century oak longcase clock, Hugh Lough, Penrith, the 12¼” square brass dial with silvered chapter ring bearing Roman and Arabic numerals, with subsidiary crescent shaped date aperture, the four pillar movement striking on a bell, the hood with moulded cornice supported by tapered cylindrical columns, the trunk with shaped door flanked by quarter columns, on a rectangular base and shaped plinth, pendulum and weight present, overall height 208.5cm high. £800-1200


4. An 18th century oak longcase clock, Jn o. Whitfield, Clifton. the 11” square brass dial with silvered chapter ring bearing Roman and Arabic numerals, with crescent shaped date aperture and pierced brass spandrels, the four pillar movement striking on a bell, the hood with caddy top, supported by tapered cylindrical columns, the trunk with rectangular door on a rectangular base and shaped plinth, pendulum and weight present, overall height 207.5cm high. £800-1200
