Ranked No. 1 in the UK for the best student experience and in the World’s Top 225 Universities according to both the Times Higher Education and QS World University Rankings 2012/13, the University of Dundee is worth closer inspection.

We are internationally recognised for our expertise across a range of disciplines including science, medicine, engineering and art. An established university, we are proud of our progressive and dynamic outlook, and are constantly striving to build on our achievements: investing in excellent facilities, pushing the boundaries of research, and developing new ways of e-learning.

Our graduates are highly regarded by employers, not only because of the high standard of degree they have received, but also because of the wide range of personal and transferable skills that the university environment enables them to develop.

Academic Strengths

Dundee offers one of the widest ranges of degree courses in Scotland. The University offers undergraduate (Bachelors) and postgraduate (Masters and PhD) courses within 16 Schools across four Academic Colleges: • •

Art, Science and Engineering Arts and Social Sciences

• Life Sciences • Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing

Most of our taught postgraduate (Masters) courses start in September, but an increasing number also start in January, offering an increased choice for our students. See the full list of postgraduate courses and scholarships on our

website: www.dundee.ac.uk/ postgraduate/loud

Community Spirit We are a campus university with an unrivalled position in the centre of Dundee and with outstanding views of the River Tay. The city of Dundee is vibrant, but with a population of only around 150,000 is not at all overwhelming, and has even been described as the biggest village in Scotland because of the warm and friendly community spirit. We also benefit from excellent transport links to Edinburgh and Glasgow and to other major UK cities.

Investing in Your Future

Dundee has invested £200m in developing a 21st century campus to provide you with the resources and support required for the best

student experience possible. This includes a well resourced Library and Learning Centre, excellent IT facilities and a dedicated International Student Advice Service to enable you to get the most out of your university experience.

What Our Students Say

Vithiea Pang, from Cambodia, graduated with an MSc in Earthquake and Offshore Geotechnical Engineering.

He says, “I was extremely attracted to the course at Dundee because it was constantly ranked top 10 in the league tables. It taught me how to solve real-life challenging problems, not to mention the strong industry linkage with my future employer. Overall I love the University, with top-class facilities which are all easily accessible. I found it pretty easy to settle down in Dundee when I first arrived, and now I call it home!”
