RESTAU
Sankichi Oden, a Japanese stew with fishcake, vegetables, and other items, is a traditional winter dish. Here at Sankichi, though, you can enjoy it even in the summer. Up to thirty different ingredients are gently simmered in a special soup stock, which is made of dried seaweed and sardines from Aomori Prefecture. Prices start at ¥50 for each ingredient. The restaurant also serves kiritampo (toasted sticks of rice paste), a specialty of Akita Prefecture. For a real taste of traditional Tohoku region, this place is the genuine article! 10-8 Ichiban-cho 4-chome, Aoba-ku, Sendai (inari-koji) (022)222-3830
