Koban-Zushi Great tasting sushi is, of course, a matter of the topping and rice used. The popular Koban-Zushi restaurant uses only locally caught fish, which are immediately placed over ice to maintain their freshness. The rice, too, is particular to Miyagi. Prices are clearly displayed, so you can eat without concern. The price of nigiri sushi sets starts from ¥1,000, and the recommended course starts at ¥3,000.

Tamzawa Sohonten Tamazawa is a specialty store for lovers of wagashi, or Japanese sweets. It serves various Japanese desserts, including anmitsu (chilled sweet bean jam with fruit), a Japanese traditional treat, with an assortment and menu that changes according to the season. During lunchtime, Tamazawa even offers original box sets. Cream anmitsu is ¥700.

Yukimura
This café, in addition to serving regular meals, offers the sweets favored by women of Japan: oshiruko, zenzai, and mitsumame with sweet beans. The menu features homestyle dishes such as a domburi bowl of rice with toppings, Japanese style zosui risotto, and kamameshi rice cooked in a pot with a variety of flavorful ingredients.
