Copied from the Daytona Beach News Journal— By Anthony DeFeo The final day of the Flagler County Fair & Youth Show drew hundreds of residents and visitors as people jumped at their last chance to spin or twirl on rides, play games and get their fill of festival food. "It's been a lot of fun here," said 9-year-old Dakota Mathis of Palm Coast, who was at the Fair with


her parents. "I've gone on some rides that I haven't gone on and it's pretty fun." Mike Mathis, her father, was in full agreement. "It's pretty good. It's good for the kids," he said. Though he's lived in the area for 17 years, Mathis said this was the first Flagler County Fair he'd ever attended. He was there with his wife, Jessica Mathis, who, fortunately, as a seasoned

aging the Fair for 13 years. "Today, we're just packed. The attendance is probably double than it was last year. "Though the Fair has evolved over the time she's been there – more rides, for example – she said the key things that keep families coming back have remained the same.
