(its common name is dead nettle). ‘Silver Beacon’ is a lovely plant with long-lasting pink flowers that you won’t miss because the leaves are quite stunning. They are heart-shaped, minty silver, with a green trim. There are many other varieties, some with yellow flowers and others with gold edge to their leaves. Artemisia. If you are looking for a silvery coloured
leaf in a plant that loves sunlight, then try Artemisia ‘Silver Mound’. Its feathery leaves can add contrast in any container and it stays in a well behaved mound when it’s well fed and happy. Japanese blood grass. Imperata cylindrica ‘Red
Baron’ is a well behaved mounding grass. The tips of this grass turn a fiery red which gets darker as autumns approaches. It grows about 18 inches in height. V
