Local Attractions Celebrate Father’s Day

wo favorite Naples nature and wildlife institutions are salut- ing all dads on their special day. Catch-and-release fishing will be conducted in the West Lake at Naples Botanical Garden from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m., June 15 and 16. Dads will be admitted free on Sunday.
Dads can gain free admission
on Father’s Day to the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens by donating after- shave and other spray cologne con- tainers. This annual call for fragrance provides new scents for the animals to enjoy all year. Dads and their families can watch the ani- mals’ reactions as the scents are used throughout the day for animal enrichment.

New Summer Camps at Conservancy of SWFL
T
he Conservancy of Southwest Florida, in Naples, is offering three new, weeklong summer camp pro- grams. The informative sessions take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each weekday at sev- eral featured locations, including the Conservancy’s Dalton Discovery Center, von Arx Wildlife Hospital and marine-life tanks, as well as on bus trips to the Gulf and other natural area destinations. Designed for current graduates of grades K-8, each program features age-appropriate material for all levels of campers.
AquaCamp takes place from June 10 to 15 and July 8 to
12. Participants will enjoy hands-on explorations of the re- gion’s aquatic systems and learn how they can be protected. A multitude of ecosystems will be explored in Land Lubbers, from June 17 to 21 and July 15 to 19. Wild Discoveries runs from June 24 to 28 and July 22 to 26 and will educate young participants about an amazing diversity of wildlife.
