Pitchcare Training - maintaining high standards
BY the time you read this, spring will be almost upon us and, no doubt, Managers and Supervisors will be gearing up for the busy period. This includes making sure your operatives are up to date with their training. If you have not done so already, it is worth taking some time to run a skills audit of your staff and check that they are compliant with current regulations and legislation and, where necessary, suitably qualified.
Accidents happen when people are under pressure, so it makes sense to brush up on their skills and awareness before things get too busy.
Many of your staff probably already have their machinery and equipment qualifications, which may be for ‘life’. However, everyday operations can also lead to carelessness, and a reminder of best practice can prevent accidents.
At Pitchcare, we have developed our own Health & Safety (All Turf Machinery) refresher course which is delivered by an experienced turfcare professional and earns a Pitchcare Certificate of Attendance. The machinery and equipment covered can vary, depending on the client’s needs, but may include mowers (ride-on and pedestrian), tractor with trailer, ATV, hand-held strimmer/brushcutter etc.
The purpose of these courses is to raise personal awareness of current relevant legislation, to encourage high standards of personal safety at work and to refresh individuals’ knowledge of current safe working practice.
To discuss any training requirements for you or your team, please contact me on 01902 440251 or email
