Easter Egg Hunt and Amazing Petting Zoo Come on down to the farm for Amazement Square’s annual Easter Egg Hunt! Join us from 11am-12pm for an egg hunt packed with animal facts and crafts to celebrate the season. Little ones 4 and younger can search the entire 4th floor for eggs, while older children can embark on a discovery hunt on 1st-3rd floors! But the fun doesn’t end there! Come meet and greet mini-horses, miniature donkeys, goats, mini-llamas, sheep, chickens, rabbits, and more in the Amazing Petting Zoo from 12-2pm included with your admission to the museum! James River Batteau Festival The Festival is an eight day flat boat journey from Lynchburg to near Richmond in the tradition of the Batteau which once carried goods and passengers in Early America. The Batteax will launch at 11:00 am. The Lynchburg Launch portion of this family friendly event will offer: music, launch of the historic batteaux, art & crafts, kid’s activities and games,fishing tournament, wildlife, history, blacksmith demonstration. All events are free and open to the public! A free trolley will run from Downtown parking areas all day! The Lynchburg Launch Festival takes place from 10 am - 2 pm.
