the school was saved from closing its doors forever. His former teammate, David Wil- liams, who was the Burrs’ Number One running back, made the last minute decision to transfer to Imhotep Char- ter, which stormed through the 2012 season with an 8-0 record and won the Public League AA Division title. “I was going to leave West Catholic if David (Williams) would’ve stayed,” said White. “There was no way I was go- ing to stay here and be the Number 2 running back. I wanted to be a starter and David was here putting up big numbers for us. But now, I feel great staying here. I love my teammates and all my coaches. I want to lead this team to the Catholic League State championship.” During his two days off

from school, Greg White also watched horror movies and he also played video games. “I spent my two days watching scary movies and playing video games,” said White. “I watched the scary movies with my sister, De- siree. We watched the Para- normal Activities series that feature the ghosts and stuff. We watch those types of mov- ies all the time.

I consider those types of movies to be the real kind... scary movies.”

White said he also listened to his rap music; his favorite rapper is Philly’s own Meek Mill.

“I have my own collec- tions of movies, music and different video games,” said White. I keep myself busy all day long.” Lately, White has been listening to his sister’s advice about possibly picking the University of Pittsburgh as his college choice. His sister, Desiree White, currently attends University of Pitts- burgh, as she is studying to be a schoolteacher. Greg White said he has consideration for the University of Pittsburgh because of its improved foot- ball program. The Pittsburgh Panthers had just played the 4th

nationally ranked Notre Dame Fightin’ Irish, last Sat- urday, in a heated battle that went into triple overtimes, in which Notre Dame finally won 29-26. Before hanging up the phone with the West Catho- lic star running back, White said he plans to have another monster game in the State playoffs. This Saturday after- noon, on November 10, The Burrs will play Conwell-Egan

The action starts at 1 PM. Stay tune, folks…. to Greg White’s next scary episode as he attempts to score five more

touchdowns….or he could score six touchdowns in his next game….for the West Catholic Burrs.
