Responsibilities incl. research; develop booklets, brochures, articles, web stories, letters to the editor & press releases; assist w/the development of campaign strategies & materials; develop relationships & coalitions w/ grassroots equine advocates; assist in the development & monitoring of outcomes & other indices of program accomplishments; prepare web alerts & respond to media inquiries. A bachelor’ s degree in related field or equivalent & 1 -3 yrs experience w/horse care, ownership & familiarity w/ issues related to the US horse industry & to specific horse populations highly desired. Active involvement in the horse world through riding activities, membership in horse-related orgs or horse-related activism is preferred. Salary range from the high $30s to low $40s.
