weekends Sports

The newly-extended Institute of Sport and Exercise (ise) on campus offers a range of facilities to help you maintain a healthy body while you’re in Dundee. With a state of the art fitness suite, dance and exercise studios, squash courts, strength performance centre, tennis courts, swimming pool and 33 acre playing fields, there are plenty of opportunities to get active!

Dundee University Sport has around 40 different clubs for you to join, including: archery, athletics, cricket, fencing, football, hockey, karate, netball, subaqua and volleyball, to name just a few. Full list at: www.dundee.ac.uk/prospectus/clubs.

Outdoor Activities

People travel from all over the UK and the world to try out Scotland’s outdoor adventure opportunities. Being on the edge of some of the most remote and unspoilt landscapes in the world, Dundee is your gateway to discovering the great outdoors.

There is a huge variety of activities you can get involved with in Dundee or within easy travelling distance. A few examples include: climbing, skateboarding, body boarding, cycling, gliding, microlighting, snowboarding, and orienteering.

And if spectating is more your thing, why not follow the Dundee Stars ice hockey team or one of our two professional football clubs?

Societies

Why not get involved with some of our student societies? They are great places to meet other students with similar interests and often have lots of events throughout the year. The Students’ Union supports over 60 different societies including:
