Home from home


We have invested £37 million in our student accommodation so that our students have a modern, safe and well equipped place to work, rest and make friends. Our 900 single rooms on campus and over 400 across the road provide the perfect environment for students, just 5 minutes from the city centre and 2 minutes from lecture halls. We have a Student Support Worker and Assistants on hand to help students and night security personnel to keep everyone safe.


We have four residential complexes – Heathfield (426 residents), Belmont (450 residents), Seabraes (411 residents) and West Park (300 residents).


The complexes comprise approximately 50 self-contained flats (each flat has its own kitchen and dining space) for between five and ten residents. Bedrooms are all single occupancy and are sized approximately 13 or 15 sq.m. (including the en-suite facilities). Kitchens are equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and kettle. The following items are not supplied in any of the residences: crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, cooking utensils, bed sheets, pillow, blankets etc, but are available locally at low prices. Each complex has a coin-operated laundry available for all residents.

We attract students from all over the UK and from over 80 different countries. Our University Residences are the ideal place to make friends with some of the most interesting people on the planet! Since Dundee was one of the three UK cities used to trial new fibre optic internet cables, our bedrooms have super fast connection to the internet and our virtual learning environment allowing you to keep in touch with old friends online at speed and up-to-date with your studies.
