A rare Chinese rhinoceros horn libation cup 17th/18th century, formed as a bell-shaped flowerhead supported by curling tendrils, one side carved with a monkey holding a leafy stem and a fruit, the other with a deer with a lingzhi spray in its mouth looking towards a bird in flight, the animals’ eyes inlaid with green glass, 12.1cm long, 7.2cm high. £20,000-30,000
