Hampshire Chamber of Commerce has chosen an historic, listed building as its new base for members in the north of the county. Manor House (pictured above with members of staff) at Chineham Court, Basingstoke, was designed and built in the early 1900s by British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens who took inspiration from the Tudor ruins of nearby Basing House.

Now part of the Absolutely Offices campus complex, Manor House will be used as a hub for the Chamber’s membership, events and international trade services in north Hampshire. It replaces previous

accommodation at the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council offices.

Membership manager Jill McDonagh said: “This move strengthens our already-close connections with the local business community and removes any confusion about our being in some way part of the council. As well as helping to improve our services, we can offer members flexible meeting and conference rooms, dedicated space for export services and more free networking opportunities. The location is ideal for Basingstoke’s business district, has easy parking and is close to the M3.“
