Problem Solvers


Knowledge is important in itself but the modern world needs young people who can apply knowledge in a flexible way to solve problems. Our enquiry-based approach allows boys to combine a range of techniques in an attempt to look at big issues within and outside subject areas. It allows them to be imaginative, more independent in their learning and to show the qualities necessary to do well in later life and to make connections between different subjects.


Communicators


Boys, especially, need to be given every opportunity to develop their ability to


communicate appropriately! They need to be able to use language in the right way at the


right time; to present information to audiences large and small in a confident way and to develop and understand non-verbal


communication. They will be given every chance to acquire these skills across the full range of subjects, not just in English or Creative Exploration lessons.
