DOUBLE R RANCH MOUNDS, OK

A P R I L M A Y J U N E

APRIL :: We were blessed with good weather for our first show of 2012. Fresh cattle kept 287 teams on their toes. It’s always fun seeing everyone again and making new friends as the sport continues to grow.

MAY :: May 5th & 6th was our first two day show. We were amazed when contestants from seven states arrived with a total of 569 teams. It is exciting to see how the sport is growing with lots of new faces in all classes. Claudia Hershey and Larry Newport set the bar winning several classes. Saturday night Greg and Deborah Ray cooked us up lots of good food and gospel music was provided by Terisa Miller and Milt Alexander. The show ran smoothly thanks to Jimmy Goyer, Owana Hutchins and

Mike Gemmill. Rex Cooper and his OSU boys kept the cattle moving as usual. Many thanks to all of our friends and sponsors for without them our shows would not be possible.

JUNE :: It was a Bleu /Button day at the Double R Ranch! Put a three year old girl named Bleu on a three foot horse named Button and you know why sorting is the #1 equine family sport. There was nothing but smiles and cheers when this pair sorted their first

cow. Bleu Hall and her mother Jennifer made it a memorable day for all. Two hundred seventy teams tuned up for the National Finals in OKC.
