So far this has created savings of over US$85,000,000 on insurance premium. Unlike other mechanisms of this nature, there is no requirement to change broker and as such it is in line with our own broker-neutral approach.
What next?
BVCAIS will continue to expand the number and quality of benefits offered by selecting new Partners where appropriate. BVCAIS will continue to review existing partnerships to ensure the quality and scale of benefits offered is maintained.
Who is on the BVCA IS Team? BVCA Insurance Services is headed by Nathan Sewell who has a 20 year insurance background having led M&A teams at both Aon & Willis. Nathan is supported by experienced insurance professionals who interact with members, investee companies, brokers and insurers on an ongoing basis to maximise the benefits to members and investee companies.
David Young is Non-Executive Chairman of BVCA Insurance Services and combines his experience as a Non-Executive Director in the insurance sector with strong ties to the private equity industry. He is currently a Senior Independent Director of British Gas Insurance, British Gas Services and Partnership Assurance, backed by the private equity group Cinven.
Jason Edwards is the Development Manager for BVCA Insurance Services. Previously, Jason was Marketing Director of Protean Investment Risks, responsible for all aspects of business production. Prior to joining Protean, Jason worked at Willis Limited where he was Business Development Director responsible for branding and marketing within the Financial & Executive Risks (FINEX) team.

Luis Hidalgo is an analyst in the BVCA Insurance Services team with a background in finance account management and an IEB double degree in Legal & Finance. Luis manages the BVCAIS investee company contact programme.
Jack Dunning is the Finance Director of BVCA Insurance Services. Jack qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte LLP in 2002 and spent over ten years working for the audit practice of Deloitte in London and New York.
