Albert Lawrence was born in Yorkshire. A Farmer by occupation, he attested for the 20th Battalion C.E.F. at Toronto on 9 November 1914. He arrived in England aboard the S.S. Megantic on 15 May 1915 and embarked for France on 10 January 1916. Initially reported as Missing’ he was later declared ‘Killed in Action’ on 15 September 1916. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial. With copied service papers.
Charles Henry Fox was born in Toronto. He was a Student and a member of the 9th Battery C.F.A. at the time of his attestation to the C. E.F. at Toronto on 18 December 1914. He arrived in England aboard the S.S. Corinthian on 17 May 1915 and embarked for France on 4 September 1915. He was attached to the H.Q. Canadian Divisional Artillery. He was killed in action while serving with the 4th Brigade C.F.A. on 30 April 1916. He was buried in the Reninghelst New Military Cemetery. With copied service papers.
Patrick McGillivray was born in Aberdeenshire on 17 August 1887. A Machinist by occupation and a member of the 79th C.H. of C., he attested for the C.E.F. at Winnipeg on 15 June 1915 and was posted to the 43rd Battalion. He embarked for England on 5 September 1915 and entered France on 20 February 1916. Initially reported as ‘Missing’ he was later declared ‘Killed in Action’ on 8 October 1916. He was buried in the Regina Trench Cemetery, Somme, France. With copied service papers.

Thomas Dadswell was born in Paddock Wood, Kent, lived at Staplehurst and enlisted at Headcorn. Serving with the 5th Battalion East Kent Regiment, he was killed in action in Mesopotamia on 21 January 1916, aged 26 years. He was buried in the Amara War Cemetery. He was the son of Mr & Mrs Dadswell of Little Harts Heath, Stalehurst, Kent. Note the initial on the medal is ‘G’.

Alfred Keep was born in Turvey, Bedfordshire, lived at Stagsden and enlisted at Bedford. Serving as a Corporal in the 1st Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 23 April 1917, aged 26 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Arras Memorial. He was the son of Thomas and Sarah Keep of Bedford Road, Stagsden, Bedford.

He was buried in the Dantzig British Cemetery, Mametz, Somme. He was the son of James and Mary E. Shears of 53 Albert Rd., Croydon.

Charles Newman Sparrow was born, lived and enlisted at Ipswich. He was educated at the Ipswich Municipal School and before the war was employed as a Lithograph
Artist.Serving with the 11th Battalion The Queen’s Regiment, he died of wounds on 8 August 1917, aged 32 years. The battalion, forming part of the 123rd Brigade took part in the Third Battle of Ypres. He was buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery. Sparrow was the son of William and Emma Sparrow of Ipswich, Suffolk and husband of Marion Annie Sparrow of 55 Electric Avenue, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. With copied research.
