Wilson named The One F

orget all preconceived notions of psychics, ghost whisperers and any supernatural misconceptions and ignore

Hollywood for a moment. Instead, meet Charmaine Wilson,

the inaugural winner of Channel Seven’s The One and Australia’s most celebrated medium. She understands the wariness of

some. Let’s face it, when someone says they talk to spirits that have passed over, you could question their sanity, but Charmaine Wilson says she is the real deal. There are no “showbiz” concoctions,

smoke, mirrors or props when Wilson presents on stage. In place of crystal balls or starry

tablecloths, is just the petite brunette medium with a microphone doing what she does, helping people dealing with grief connect to loved ones and heal. Her natural ability is complemented by, not only

her own troubled past, but also the loss she has experienced during her life. The former drug addict only woke to her gift in

1999 after her father died. She has lived through a lot of heartache in her

life, including the death of her brother and her four year old daughter, both to tragic accidents. Her mother died in late 2006. These deaths have allowed Wilson to relate to

how her clients may be feeling. Drug-free for more than 10 years, she has now

Mixin’ it up I

f you were to throw 20 cents in a back woods honky tonk around 1948 you’d have some idea what the Two Timin’ Playboys are all about

A mix of hillbilly, western swing, jazz and

R&B, Two Timin’ Playboys take each genre and make it there own, true to the original sound, yet take it somewhere new and exiting Did we mention there are only two

members, but where’s the big sound coming from? Holding down the guitar and vocal duties is Pat Capocci. Known for his six- string acrobats across the land, you’ll fi nd him standing and hollering behind his 1948 Gibson. The other man in this twosome, the man responsible for laying down the bottom end, is none other than Damien Lawson. When these two fellas get together, fun and a good time are a number one priority. They will be playing at

the Wickham Park Hotel on Saturday, May 26.

become a world-renowned Australian medium, recognised for her skill and compassion. Her gift was showcased

to the nation when she was crowned winner of the Channel Seven smash hit program The One. With cameras capturing

her every move, she showed Australia her ability. She was also honoured as Queensland’s psychic of the year in 2008 and Australian psychic of the year for 2005. Wilson tours extensively

around the country, and runs workshops all year long. She has remained dedicated to giving accurate information

about the spirit world since she began her work in 2002. She has released two books and also created

a series of seminars, called positive grief healing workshops, based on her own journey into the light after falling down in grief. Whether you are hoping to reconnect with someone who has passed or simply want to experience an unforgettable night out, there is no denying that Wilson has earned the title of The One. She will be appearing at Wests New Lambton on Wednesday, May 30.
